How to get each shade

• Brown: henna first, rinse, then a light indigo application.
• Dark brown: mix henna and indigo roughly 1:1 in one step.
• Black: two steps – full henna application, rinse, then 100% indigo paste for 45-60 minutes.

Mixing

Mix indigo with warm water to a yogurt consistency and use it within 15-20 minutes – unlike henna, indigo does not need a long dye release and loses strength if it sits. Add a pinch of salt to help the color grip. Rinse with water only and wait 48 hours before shampooing so the color settles.
